Welcome To The Troop 229 Website!

Troop 229 is a proud member of the Parish Life Ministry of St. Theresa Catholic Church – our sponsoring organization.  Be sure to check out St. Theresa's web site:  http://sttaustin.org/

Our Mission:  The mission of Troop 229 is to teach young men the skills they need to be successful in life. This is accomplished through teaching Scouting values, survival skills, leadership and organizational skills. We are committed to adventure, learning and “boy fun” through challenging outdoor and indoor experiences. Scouting should be enjoyable and it should challenge each boy to be the best he can be. We offer all of our Scouts the opportunity to advance through the Scout ranks by providing an active program of instruction and activities. We strive to instill in our Scouts lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. As a troop, we serve our community through a quality, values-based program of service.

Meeting Times:  Troop 229 meets on the second Sunday of the month in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm during the school year.
